About Kira

I help women 15 to 50s who feel like they never quite measure up in life. The life they worked so hard to create isn’t bringing them the happiness they thought it would. Instead, they feel inadequate and tired of trying.

Empathy is my superpower. I really get how you feel and I know how to help you. I’ve spent my entire career listening to and helping people who just.want.to.feel.good.enough.

When you work with me, you can have self-confidence, you can develop reasonable expectations, you can feel connected to people. You can finally feel like you are simply enough.

Hi, I’m Kira. I love to laugh with my husband and son (they are so wickedly hilarious!), do yoga, and make my home beautiful. When out of the office, you’re most likely to find me walking my dog, Maisy, who has (no joke) an infinite amount of energy, unlike her mama.

 

Before becoming a super chill therapist, I would alphabetize my books, create insane filing systems, and drive myself crazy on Pinterest. People scared me because I thought they might judge me. The self-criticism was the worst. Therapy helped me value myself for who I am, and I developed life-changing habits that I will use and build on for the rest of my days. My fingers still twitch when I see a messy room, but I can breathe and move through it. Since I’ve been there, I can relate my clients. It is so satisfying to help people find their self-worth and to develop habits that reflect this belief in themselves.

I have a Master of Education in Applied Psychology and Human Development from OISE/University of Toronto, a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Psychology from Western University. I love learning and I love continually improving in what I do, so a portion of my work week is spent taking courses, workshops, and consulting with other professionals. From this training, I work from the lenses of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
